The price of 24 karat gold increased by Rs. 1,600 per tola and was traded at Rs. 359,700 on Monday as compared to its sale at 358,100 on the last trading day, All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported.
The price of gold had risen by Rs. 6,600 per tola during the closing three days (Thursday to Saturday) of the last week. Today’s surge takes the four-day increase in the price of gold to Rs. 8,200 per tola.
The prices of 10 grams of 24 karat also increased by Rs. 1,371 to Rs. 308,384, according to the Association.
In the international market, gold rate stood at $3,372 per ounce (with a premium of $20), marking a gain of $16, as per the Association.
The per tola price of silver reached Rs. 4,087 after an increase of Rs. 65.
